An Unforgettable Visit to The Mohicans Treehouse Resort and Wedding Venue

Fall in Ohio is special. The weather turns crisp and cool. The leaves erupt in bold shades of red, orange, and yellow. It is the ideal picture of autumn.

Our family loves spending time enjoying the changes in nature and exploring the activities that come with fall in Ohio. One beautiful location we have visited during autumn is The Mohicans Treehouse Resort and Wedding Venue.

The Mohicans Treehouse Resort and Wedding Venue is a perfect getaway, especially during fall. The Mohicans is a picturesque retreat located on 77 acres of private property in Glenmont, Ohio.

The resort offers a variety of rentals, including two country homes, four cabins, and nine treehouses, two of which were designed by Pete Nelson of the Discovery Channel’s series “Treehouse Masters.” There is also a wedding venue that houses between 100-175 guests, depending on the season.

White Oak Treehouse

We stayed in the White Oak Treehouse when we visited The Mohicans Treehouse Resort. This treehouse is one of two on the property designed by “Treehouse Masters” Pete Nelson. White Oak is beautifully designed and has breathtaking views of the wooded surroundings.

It was the perfect getaway for our family of four, with its own kitchenette, living space, full bathroom, bedroom with queen bed, upstairs loft with two queen beds, and an outdoor shower. While the interior is beautiful, it is the nature that surrounds the treehouse that is captivating. We spent the majority of our time enjoying the outdoor space of White Oak.

The Mohicans Treehouse Resort is very secluded and is located in a remote area of Ohio. A majority of the area attractions are geared toward enjoying the outdoors, including Pleasant Hill Lake, which has a beach and marina for swimming, boating, and waterskiing, as well as Mohican Valley Trail, Mohican State Park, and Findley State Park, all of which are great for hiking, mountain biking, and swimming.

Two deer ran through the woods during our hike.

Mohican Adventures is also a great place to experience the outdoors. There are canoe, kayak, or raft river trips, as well as a three mile tube float trip that is open seasonally. Mohican Adventures also offers an aerial park and fun center with go-karts and miniature golf.

The River Rub Canoe Livery has river trips using rented canoes, kayaks, double kayaks, tubes, and rafts.

Because of the remote location, there are few restaurant options in the area. We ate at The Copper Mug Bar & Grille located at Landoll’s Mohican Castle. Other restaurants The Mohicans Treehouse Resort recommends are Trails End Restaurant and The Black Fork Bistro. The area has a few wineries, including Sunny Slope Winery and Ugly Bunny Winery. There are also a few fast-food restaurants located in Loudonville.

Our visit to The Mohicans Treehouse Resort was an unforgettable experience we will always cherish as a family. It is a wonderful location to appreciate the beauty of nature in all seasons.
